Engage with students. March – May. Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Annunciation School in Albuquerque. We will cover bug identification, fly tying, casting and then a fishing trip or two. The program starts on March 25th and runs through May 20th. Only one or two volunteers are needed per class. If you are interested you do not need to volunteer for the entire program, you can select a topic you have an interest in, or a few weeks or only one class. Please get in touch with Brian to discuss the best way to help.
Engage with members. April. We’ll be having a casting class for members who are either beginners or just think they need help correcting some casting issues. We’ll have a class in late April and in May. We are looking for few people to help with the casting. We’ll be offering on-stream fishing clinics for members as well once the casting clinics have been completed. If you feel you can help one or two fisher people with tips on locating fish, fly presentation, wading safely, and other tips to jump start their fishing journey please get in touch.
Engage with families. June & July. The Valles Caldera will continue its summer fly fishing offerings:
June 7 9:00 AM – 4:00 pm
June 28 9:00 AM – 4:00 pm
July 12 9:00 AM – 4:00 pm
July 26 9:00 AM – 4:00 pm
Please consider volunteering, the club needs help to keep it viable and especially keep new members interested.
