Dave,
Was presently surprised to see my photo in your newsletter. I, for one enjoyed as I am sure the rest that participated in the PHW program that your organization (NM Trout), the Veterans Administration and all the great NMT volunteers provided to us veterans this year. Thank you.

This unusually active fire season is devastating several fisheries that I frequented. The Osha Canyon Fire, Pacheco Canyon and now the Las Conchas fire are really going to set back the restoration work NM Trout has been doing to re-introduce Rio Grande Cutthroats. I am worried that may be ten years before the steams are stable enough for trout. Question: Can NM Trout add a new 'emergency' section with a banner right up front on your home page to post reports from NMDGF and USFS on the damage to the various trout waters? Any contingency projects you may be able to do to triage and stabilize streams and riparian habitats may be something else to consider. I am ready to help. M. Maes
